'옳은' 손으로 그린 그림

나는 오른손잡이다. 일상생활의 많은 부분을 오른손으로 처리하며 그림도 물론 오른손으로 그린다.

오른손의 '오른'은 ‘바른'과 같은 의미를 지닌다. 주위 사람들을 보면 왼손잡이보다 오른손 잡이가 더 많은 것이 사실이다. 우리 사회의 통념은 마치 오른손의 어원처럼 오른손을 쓰는 것이 바른 것으로 여겨지곤 한다. 마치 '옳은' 것이 본래 존재하는 것처럼 여겨지는 통념, 관습, 타성속에 오른손이 있다.

나도 오른손은 당연하게 그림을 그 나는 이러한 오른손을 잠시 쉬게 하고 왼손으로 오른손을 그리는 작업을 했다. 이를 통해 익숙하고 당연시 되어온 것으로부터 탈피를 시도하고자 한다.

I am right-handed. Many parts of everyday life are handled with the right hand, and I am drawing by the right hand as well. The right hand's 'Right' has the same meaning as 'RIGHT' which means correct. Looking around, there are more right-handed people than left-handed people. Our society's myth is that it is normal to use the right hand like the etymology of the right hand. My daughter was a child more familiar with the left hand than the right. But, she is getting used to the right hand these days due to the force of the people around them. There is a right hand in this old custom, inertia, and the myth that 'RIGHT' things seem to exist in nature.

My right hand is a collection of the history of painting, technology, and senses accumulated from it. I let my right hand take a rest for a while and drawing the right hand by the left hand. Through this, I try to get away from familiar things and reconsider the 'RIGHT'.
