러닝 페인팅

러닝 페인팅은 '매일 그림 그리기' 프로젝트(2015-2019) 이다. 이는 화가의 기본 조건인 그림 그리기 자체에 집중하기 위한 작업이었다. 프로젝트를 진행하는 동안 자연스럽게 특정한 대상을 그리는 것보다 그림을 그리는 행위(과정) 자체에 더 집중하게 되었고 나는 지속적으로 화가라는 정체성을 유지할 수 있었다. 이는 어떤 결과물을 만들기 위한 수단이 아닌 그 자체로 목적을 지닌 행위였다. 

 

Running painting

Running painting is a 'daily painting' project(2015-2019). This was a task to focus on painting itself, which is the basic condition of a painter. During the project, I naturally focused more on the act of drawing (the process) than on drawing a specific object. So, I was able to maintain my identity as a painter continuously, and this was an autotelic act, not a means to produce a certain result.
