드로잉 북(Drawing book)

드로잉 북은 <러닝 페인팅(Running painting)> 작업 중 작업실에 갈 수 없는 날에도 그림을 지속하기 위해 시작한 작업이었다. 드로잉 북은 휴대하기 용이하기에 언제 어디서든 쉽고 가볍게 그림을 그릴 수 있었다. 무엇보다 어떤 무엇을 그려도 다음 장으로 넘겨야 하고 결국 덮여진 상태로 끝나는 드로잉 북의 비노출적인 성격은 그림을 잘 그리려는 부담감을 덜어 주었고 이는 곧 그림에 대한 '무심'한 태도를 만들어 주었다.

'Drawing Book' was started to continue painting even on days when I could not go to the studio while 'Project Running painting'. This is because the drawing book is portable, so I could draw easily and lightly anytime, anywhere. Above all, the format of the drawing book which has to be turned over to the next page in order to draw a new picture, relieved the burden of drawing well, as it was turned over and covered with whatever was drawn, which soon created an attitude that is an 'air of detachment' toward painting.
