블랙스타

​

볼펜으로 흰 종이를 채워 어둠을 만들고 남겨진 흰색의 텅 빈 여백은 빛나는 별이 된다. 실상 텅 빈 것이라 여기는 어둠은 가득 차 있고, 반대로 빛나는 별은 텅 비어 있다. 완성, 의미, 목적이라 생각한 삶의 견고한 것들이 사실은 그림 속 텅 빈 별처럼 실체가 없는 허상은 아닐까. 빛나는 별은 목적이 아닌 수단이다. 별을 향해서 볼펜으로 하염 없이 어둠을 채우는 과정이 그림의 목적이다. 블랙스타는 별과 별 사이를 건너가는 과정에 있다.

Black star

​

Fill in the white paper with a ballpoint pen to create darkness and the empty white space left behind becomes a shining star. The empty darkness is full and the shining star is empty. The solid things in life like completion, meaning, and ideals are illusions like the empty stars in the drawing. A shining star is not a goal, just a way to get the goal. The purpose of the painting is in the process to fill the darkness with a ballpoint pen toward the stars. Black star is in the process of crossing between stars.
